The healthcare field is characterized by complexity, rapid change, evolving distribution and consumer-purchasing behavior, and pricing and reimbursement pressure. As a marketing/communications strategist, Mr. English thrives on chaos and enjoys employing “why not” thinking necessary to deal with such challenges.
In his more than 25 years at BVK, Mr. English has worked with more than 60 healthcare clients, including Georgetown University Medical Center, Scripps Clinic, Memorial Health System, Mount Carmel Health System, Tenet Health System, AT&T and Sprint healthcare ventures, Baxter International, and Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. His thinking has been featured in articles, speeches, and web casts. He has served as an associate editor of the Journal of Healthcare Marketing, as a past president and board member of the American Marketing Association Southeastern Wisconsin chapter, and is a past board member and chair of the Alliance for Healthcare Strategy & Marketing. He is a former member of the SHSMD Board of Directors.
