Web 2.0. You have undoubtedly heard of this term, but you may not realize what it means and how it relates to you as a healthcare professional. Web 2.0 encompasses the different online tools that allow people—regardless of location—to collaborate and connect with each other.

Examples of Web 2.0 tools include:

  • Social networking websites, such as Facebook and MySpace. Sites such as these allow users to post personal profiles, upload pictures, form and join groups, and exchange messages with other users.
  • Blogs, also known as weblogs or online journals. These allow individual users to share their thoughts with readers, often incorporating links to other websites and including areas for readers’ comments.
  • Wikis, like the online encyclopedia, Wikipedia. These collaborative, open-content sites allow users to directly add and edit information.

Hear how your hospital peers are using Web 2.0 tools to build relationships, and learn how to engage your employees, empower your physicians, and win loyalty from your customers in today’s connected culture.

During this 90-minute webcast, you and your colleagues will discover practical ways to:

  1. Develop a set of web-based collaboration tools to engage workplace teams, reinforce social networks, and form ad hoc communities independent of time, distance, and organizational boundaries.
  2. Segment and connect with your hospital’s consumers through online support groups, customized follow-up, and personalized information-sharing.
  3. Facilitate real-time data sharing with your physicians and administrators, improving operational performance and increasing clinical effectiveness.

A live Q&A session will immediately follow the webcast.
