Didn’t a ListServ question go out about telephone on-hold messages last month? It sure did – and now the email exchange is on the Knowledge Community for you to access anytime! Find the archived SIG emails and documents shared in the discussion area of the Knowledge Community.


Logging into the Knowledge Community

SHSMD has integrated the Knowledge Community log-in with the log-in of the members-only area of the SHSMD website. View the step by step instructions for this new log-in process. Or, contact the SHSMD offices at 312.422.3888 or shsmd@aha.org for assistance.


About the Knowledge Community

To keep its members on the cutting-edge of technology and the profession, SHSMD created an online learning community, available to SHSMD members only – the SHSMD Knowledge Community

The SHSMD Knowledge Community is an online community for members to collaborate and explore best practices, new ideas, share knowledge and resources, and discover solutions to everyday challenges.  It will provide opportunities to build a network of peers and tap into the collective intelligence of the SHSMD membership.

Knowledge Community features include:

  • Knowledge management
    • Members are able to post resources to share in a variety of formats i.e. pdf, ppt, doc, and jpg.
    • Searchable database for resources, events, products, and members
    • Members can communicate with each other through:
      • Discussions
      • Blogs
      • Real-time Chats
      • Private messages

To begin using this new resource, go to www.shsmdcommunity.org    – you will begin to access the collective knowledge of the SHSMD membership.
