The successful development and implementation of an organization’s strategic plan is an increasingly complex endeavor in today’s healthcare environment. Often times, health systems and their hospitals have poorly coordinated or conflicting plans that ineffectively address their overall mission. Health systems that are able to integrate and leverage their plans in a concerted manner are more likely to compete successfully and minimize duplication and conflict.
