While there’s no doubt that customer relationship marketing—or CRM—is applicable to healthcare, the necessary investment often makes it cost-prohibitive. Wellmont Health System used information on current patients to develop a “guerrilla” CRM strategy to cross-sell services to that patient base. Mail lists targeting segmented groups funneled a high payer mix of patients into key services.
