After a diagnosis of breast cancer, individuals are faced with several life-changing decisions about how to navigate treatment decisions, which are best made by an engaged and well-informed patient. Using proprietary software designed to collect patient inputs via a mobile device and marry those inputs with tiered decision-making algorithms, the Mayo Clinic breast cancer decision-support tool is changing the way breast cancer patients–and their providers–approach treatment. A feasibility study will be shared that highlights patient satisfaction, confidence and satisfaction regarding surgical and non-surgical treatment decisions.
