The Center for Community Investment, in collaboration with the Catholic Health Association, has published Investing in Community Health: A Toolkit for Hospitals. This resource invites hospital leaders and staff to add investment to their toolbox for improving community health and provides a blueprint for how to do so. The toolkit delves into key topics in the field, including distinguishing between financial contributions and investment strategies, understanding the value of investment strategies for addressing the social determinants of health, and creating an action plan mobilizing investment capital and other assets to improve community health.

Release of this toolkit comes as COVID-19 and the national conversation about racism spurred by the murder of George Floyd and others have illuminated the racial inequities and health disparities that community investment seeks to address.
