January 26 - February 26, 2027 | Virtual
Turn strategic priorities into actionable plans that drive organizational results. This five-week SHSMD credential series equips healthcare strategy, planning, business development, marketing and finance professionals with practical approaches to developing, executing and measuring effective strategic plans.
Through expert-led sessions, participants will learn how to align strategic and financial planning, engage stakeholders, communicate priorities and monitor performance. The program also includes elective sessions, a final project, faculty office hours and bonus educational content.
What You'll Learn
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify the essential elements of a strategic plan and establish meaningful performance metrics.
- Align strategic priorities with organizational goals and financial planning.
- Design a collaborative strategic planning process informed by internal and external assessments.
- Translate strategic plans into actionable initiatives and communicate priorities across stakeholders.
- Use key performance indicators and data to monitor progress and improve results.
Course Format
This five-week virtual program features live online sessions, elective learning opportunities and a final project. Live webinars are scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays, with core sessions generally held from 12 to 1 p.m. CT.
Participants who complete the program requirements will earn the SHSMD Strategic Planning in Health Care Credential and digital badge.
